Fishery Rules

  • Barbless or de-barbed hooks only
  • Flies tied to a longshank hook (up to a size 8) can be used
  • Goldheads & Tinheads are allowed and a team of three flies is permitted.
  • Fish cannot be returned on the following flies

  • A current EA (Environment Agency) Licence is essential - available at post offices or on-line by clicking here.

  • Fishing is from stages/positions only.
  • Please keep to paths.
  • Please take great care when landing and returning trout following a set of guidelines available to you from the shop.
  • By law, landing nets must be of knotless nylon. These are available for hire or to buy from the shop.
  • Please be especially careful not to drop nylon line around the fishery - it can kill or maim the wildlife so easily.
  • Please abide by the country code and either take all litter home or place it in the litter bin adjacent to the shop.
