Fishing Rules

  • Barbless or de-barbed hooks only
  • Flies tied to a longshank hook (up to a size 8) can be used
  • Goldheads and tinheads are allowed and a team of three flies is permitted
  • Fishing is from stages/positions only
  • Please keep to the paths
  • Please take great care when landing and returning trout following a set of guidelines available to you in the shop
  • By law, landing nets must be knotless nylon, these are available for hire or to buy from the shop
  • Please be especially careful not to drop nylon line around the fishery – it can kill or maim the wildlife
  • Please abide by the country code and either take all litter home or place it in the litter bin adjacent to the shop
  • An angler can bring one spectator but not under the age of 16
  • Junior anglers are allowed from the age of 8 years old
